WEC has a children's project in East Timor, which offers children's clubs for 5-12 year olds.
The aim of the program is to proclaim the love of God in word and deed to disadvantaged children and young people, to give them a new perspective and hope. This includes children’s lessons in different age groups, English courses, singing and theatre plays. Children and young people are lead and supported in their personal and academic development.
Voluntary helpers work with children from 5-12 years old, hand in hand with the local churches. The tasks are diverse and can vary depending on gifts. Dancing, telling Bible stories, music, theatre pieces, sports (particularly football) etc. Therefore learning of the local language Tetum is necessary! English Lessons for young people and adults (from 15 years) is another possible task.
Some ministry experience. For longterm workers, a professional qualification can help for visa processing.
