To develop, facilitate and take part in psychiatric post-graduate training for PMHP doctors in the Primary Mental Health Project (PMHP). Responsible for: training of doctors in Primary Mental Health; developing the training curriculum and materials for post-graduate training in PMHP; taking part in further development of the mental health work in the organisation.
Tasks: giving theoretical and clinical training sessions to doctors and possibly nurses; consultancy for difficult cases, leading case presentations; developing materials and curriculum for the training; cooperating with different stakeholders involved in national medical training.
Requirements: Qualified psychiatrist (adult psychiatry and possibly child psychiatry) with work experience. A PhD would be an advantage Experience in post-graduate training; Experience/interest in working in a developing country.
Needs a good knowledge of English, willing to learn the local language, training skills. Ideally someone who enjoys training and building the capacity of others. Responsible, flexible, a natural developer with self-initiative; and who enjoys working in a multicultural team.
