Purpose of the role: • To facilitate WEC's interfacing with the public via the Internet. • To support the International WEB Services Team (IWST) to co-ordinate areas of graphic design, programming, content authoring and editing, information architecture, security and marketing etc. • To ensure that all WEC WEB sites1 comply with agreed norms, design themes, security standards and quality control
Required Knowledge: Familiarity with WEB design standards & principles, particularly WordPress as the preferred WEC wide Content Management System (CMS). • Understanding of web development and “search engine optimization;” particularly finding the right keywords and knowing how to use them. • Ability to analyse web site statistics, to monitor the interest and impact of our websites.
Required skills: • Leadership – capacity to manage a diverse team according to the vision and values of WEC International. Team builder, also one who appreciates WEC decision-making and fellowship. • WEB site development - a broad understanding in the use of internet in marketing and communication. • This role would suit a dynamic, self-motivated individual with creative gift and experience and skills in graphic design and/or web site design and maintenance; good writing skills; HTML editing, site development and site management.
