Reports To: The designer will report to a single point of contact (SPOC) on this project.
Job Overview: Design and set up an international database using digital asset management (DAM) software. This will be done using the to design the database structure, create the indexes, and handle the data integration and initial management. The resources are media such as images, videos, PDFs and similar of an international mission organisation. The goal is to have a database of media from across the organisation that can be shared and accessed internationally.
Responsibilities and Duties: • Work with the SPOC to identify the best way to design the DAM so it meets the needs of the organisation. • Using the data asset management (DAM) software: o Design the structure of the DAM according to the needs of the organisation. o Set up indexes, tags and other searchable functions for the database. o Create the database and load some initial media. o Set up user accounts and manage the access permissions of the users. • Roll out the DAM software for the organisation. • Gather initial media for the DAM software. • Manage and monitor DAM software for the initial working phase.
This is a volunteer position and can be done remotely with a good internet connection.
Initially, we need an availability of at least three to four months with a high workload. Followed by a transition period of at least three months with less intense workload.
Requirements • Working experience with media database • Preferably, some experience with DAM software • Skilled in digital, structural design and management • Experience with an international mission organisation
