WEC's team in Gijon, Spain run a shop, as a meeting place to reach out to the local Asturian community. The shop sells mostly women's clothing, but is also a place where the lonely an elderly can meet and talk.
You could work as a shop assistant, sorting and displaying the produce, while you take opportunities to drink coffee and chat with customers and visitors, share from the Bible and pray with them.
The Asturian people of northwest Spain are fiercely independent and number around 577,000; Catholic in tradition but many are agnostic or atheist; less than 0.1% are evangelical.
The team frequently run a discipleship course, and there is potential to organise basic English workshops or talks on interesting topics.
