A nurse-midwife would work alongside our locally trained Gambian midwives in a clinic in Sibanor. There would be opportunities to be involved in teaching.
Qualifications: A qualified midwife with at least one years experience. Experience of work in a remote setting or without medical support would be helpful. Flexibility and a willingness to try new things is essential. A period of over six months is most useful but any length of time is acceptable.
