Media & Communications Officer for Africa (352)

Join an exciting WEC branch called ACTS 13, which is training and mobilising African cross-cultural missionaries in several countries. As WEC's Africa Media and Communications Officer, you will raise the profile of WEC across Africa.
Our ACTS 13 branch is offering cross-cultural training to recruit Africans into our multi-national mission agency to serve around the world.
You will be communicating with Christian Africans from the Gambia to Kenya and from Chad to South Africa, informing them about cross-cultural
mission, and inspiring them to pray, to give of their time, resources and finances, and possibly to go themselves to unreached people groups.
Gather stories, write articles and create publicity for print and internet. Promote the ministry of WEC's ACTS13 Branch through our website, print, social media and video, sharing our ministry activities
across Africa.
Produce regular communications for the ACTS13 branch to inform and inspire prayer. Keep the website up to date by making sure the website
is secure, plugins are updated, pages are edited, new pages are added, new content is added. Help host online events, meetings and seminars
(mentoring, prayer, awareness, etc) using Zoom, Office365 Teams. Monitorand engage with our audience on several social media platforms. You
could work out of Accra, Ghana or from South Africa.
There will be opportunities to spend time with local Christians of various nationalities, learning their cultures and adapting communications to suit each one.
As part of this strategic ministry, you will be encouraged to visit several ACTS13 teams participating with face-to-face mobilising, mission awareness, and mentoring into mission.
Qualifications
You have had extensive training and experience in the world of media from editing, photography and film, to graphics and publicity. You are comfortable using the full range of media platforms
and software.
You are passionate about producing good quality inspiring communications, and you love to share God's heart for the unreached peoples of the world who have yet to hear the good news.
