English for Missions (EFM) (231)

EFM is an intensive English course focused on Christian vocabulary and missions that runs every year in July.

You will be involved in teaching English based on Christian vocabulary. The program is flexible and open for one’s personal input about his or her Christian/faith experience. The outline of the EFM is also focused on missions’ awareness.

There are three classes divided in basic, intermediate, and advanced levels. The students are Brazilian church members, bible school students, missionaries, and church leaders (around 25 in total). Each class may hold 8-9 students from ages 18 and older.

Applicants must ideally speak English as their first language and have a TEFL certificate, BUT we are also open and flexible to non-native speakers without a certificate – in this case we would like to make an interview beforehand.

A tourist visa is valid for 3 months and there is the possibility to extend it for 3 more months. Most nationalities don't need a visa to come to Brazil, but others do need to apply for one beforehand. Please confirm at the Brazilian consulate of your passport nationality.
