After school programme assistant (English Teacher) (260)

This role will involve visiting non-believing and believing children in their homes to help with English and perhaps other subjects. You will also teach classes or help with classes in the learning centre of an NGO plus help the local English teachers to improve and develop their English / skills. There will also be occasional children's clubs. This is not in the city centre, and so may involve travelling. It is in an area of the city which is bit like a big village, and where many people live who have recently moved into the city from other areas. The time commitment is one month.

Qualifications: Teaching qualifications are helpful but not essential. Flexibility, a willingness to serve and a desire to learn and adapt to the local culture are more important. The most important thing is a loving heart towards children.
