Here is an opportunity to serve God by helping women and new-born children
in Senegal. Alongside the nurse and the village birth assistants, you will help accompany women through their pregnancy, labour and post-natal
care. You will also be called on to teach family planning and to advise and orient families to more appropriate facilities if there are complications. As part of a church planting team, you will have the opportunity to share the Gospel with Fulakunda families.
Qualifications: An experienced midwife who can relate well to women and children.
Have Bible training.
French-speaking, and willing to learn the Fulakunda
language and culture.
Open to learning in the context, and flexible
enough to work in basic conditions in a bush clinic. Training in Muslim outreach would be an asset.
