Agriculturalist / Agronomist / Hydroponics (322)

Join a team in an underdeveloped country to set up a project producing vegetables using hydroponics.

You will be responsible for organising planting / harvesting / labour and other growing operations on new hydroponic vegetable production greenhouses (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers). Crop scheduling including propagation (all has to be grown from seed on site) and grafting. Day to day crop duties - crop pest and disease scouting and treatment, Integrated Pest Management / biological controls. Establishing and supervising crop trials.

Qualifications: Relevant agricultural experience and training. Grafting experience would also be an asset. This position is a team position so good interpersonal and leadership skills important.
