Phil and Robyn Strahan have a heart to see the 3.4 billion unreached people in the world have the opportunity to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
With that in mind, they sense that the Lord is leading them to serve long-term in Senegal. Over 81% of people in Senegal are considered unreached, so they have a heart to share the gospel amongst the unreached people there.
They plan to spend the first 2 years or so learning French, Wolof and culture. During that time they will also discern which people group(s) the Lord is leading them to serve amongst. There is a possibility that they will need to learn a third language.
They are both trained teachers, Phil as a high school teacher and Robyn as an English language teacher, so they may teach as part of their ministry. They also have a heart for evangelism and discipleship and would love to help to plant a church in the future.
Phil is originally from Melbourne and Robyn is originally from near Leeton in New South Wales. They have both lived in Adelaide for the past few years though and are part of Edwardstown Baptist Church.
