Currently we have a Child Protection Policy as updated in 2016.
We are developing a Safeguarding Policy which outlines how WEC International (Aust) handles issues with protecting people at risk, both Children and Adults. It will include:
- A section on the theology of safeguarding
- Work with adults and children at risk, including information on who they are, what kinds of abuse they may be victims of, and different reporting duties and procedures.
- How we proceed in the case of an accusation of any breach of our Safeguarding Policy, both internally and in the justice system.
If you would like a copy of our current policy it is available here.
WEC is a member of ChildSafe. We use their training resources to help in child and vulnerable people protection.
