Our core values are important to us and they are what has kept WEC going for 100+ years.

The following principles, known as the Four Pillars of WEC, are core to the way we seek to live in order to honour Christ and fulfill our God-given mission. We recognize that these are possible only through the indwelling Christ and transforming work of the Spirit.

We can trust God to supply all we need to accomplish His plan for our lives and ministries despite opposition, difficulties and apparent impossibilities.

This means total reliance on him for the grace, power and resources we need to think, speak, live and serve.

The reality of Christ in us and the power of the Holy Spirit makes it possible for us to live lives that honour God in all we think, say and do.

The Holy Spirit enables us to willingly obey Jesus' call to mission and endure whatever hardships the journey puts in our path.

Sacrifice means saying 'yes' to God in all things, without seeking unnecessary risks, yet ready to learn obedience through suffering.

Fellowship is our oneness in Christ.

Our oneness in Christ makes it possible for us to live and work together in multicultural teams as brothers and sisters, maintaining the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

We seek the mind of Christ together in decisions, and value mutual accountability and relationship over structure and authority.
