WEC Today

What is WEC today? There's many ways to answer this question, but let's start with some statistics:

WEC is around 1,800 ordinary people like you;
From 50 countries of the world;
In 101+ teams found where people have little opportunity to hear about Jesus;
With one purpose: Reaching People and Planting Churches.

Here's the way that one leader of WEC recently described us:
"A passionate, flexible, truly international movement, so devoted to Jesus, that it empowers this generation to impact the least reached peoples of the Earth with the transforming power of the gospel."

We're held together by these four 'pillars' that bind us together despite our individuality and the uniqueness of each field's ministries.

Faith: Relying on God alone to meet every need and challenge we face, to open closed doors and hearts. This means total reliance on him for the grace, power and resources we need to think, speak, live and serve.

Fellowship: Being one in Christ together. WEC is a multi-ethnic family, committed to the unique strengths that come from international teams. We seek the mind of Christ together in decisions, and value mutual accountability and relationship over structure and authority.

Holiness: Being set apart for Christ himself. It is about the discipling of our hearts as we daily live in God’s presence.

Sacrifice: Saying ‘yes’ to God in all things, without seeking unnecessary risks, yet ready to learn obedience through suffering.

You'll find some more information about WEC in our FAQs under the 3 headings (Preparing, Going, Caring) on this site, and a description of what it is that we do in Australia here. If you'd like to know more about things like the core values, activities, & doctrine of WEC, visit our international site.

Perhaps the best way, though, to find out who WEC is would be to get in touch with us - you can do that here. Here's a video that might help too:
