How I came here and how I know where to go and what to do next.

Ready, set , go. The group has grown and more will come. I thought it would be great to kick off with a topic that allows us to help one another and maybe get to know one another. Guidance. You know 'How do I find God's will' type questions. Hopefully we will find the answer to the question is finding the right question (That's a riddle). It was much simpler 100 years ago. People had fewer life choices, less options. You got married or you followed in Dad's footsteps. Now however we have hundreds of options and this influences our theology. If you look at guidance literature one hundred years ago the emphasis was on God's word and keeping to the commandments. Today it may emphasize the leading of the spirit.
So what, I need help. How do I make a good decision when choosing a way forward in mission/church planting? Maybe first people can share what has helped them in the past, what mistakes they made and how now God is guiding them.

Hi. My name is Luke (for those who have never met me) and I live in West oz. Janelle and I have been thinking heaps about listening to God and our big revelation is that you can't fake it with God! You can't skip corners or squeeze God into the gaps of your life if you want to hear God's leading. God deserves the best of our time, and we have felt challenged to set aside the best time for God- not just the early morning when we are half asleep or at night when we are tired- but our best time so that we can hear from God. I hope that makes sense =)
