The easy way out?

Wed, 28/09/2011 - 5:57pm -- seanb

Welcome to our brand new website. I wanted to start the ball rolling a little controversially. I wonder how often we look for what might seem 'the right thing' to do in preparing for mission, in going on mission, or on caring for missionaries - but in reality might be perhaps the easy way out.

When someone challenges us in our faith, do we try and argue the case for an hour before giving up, or do we take it on the chest & pray fervently for that person's soul and for their eyes to be opened?

When we're challenged to share Jesus with someone, do we run to our prayer room to pray for them instead of going and sharing with them?

When we hear of a missionary's needs, do we reach for our wallet to give and then forget about them, or do we adopt them into our prayer life, standing with them in their challenges over a lifetime of service?

It's great that you've dropped by to think about what you could do for God. Our prayer for this site is that it will help you see what is right for you - and that you won't look for the easy way out.
