Happy New Year

New Years Day was hot and sultry in Sydney. We headed out for a picnic with some of our team, some Korean church planters and some friends from Kyrgyzstan. We found a nice park on Sydney Harbour, had a barbecue, ate watermelon and played cricket. There were nationalities from every corner of the earth near us. Some Arabic ladies were dancing on one side. Men from Pakistan danced on the other.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all those who read these blog entries. Christ's mass, or Christ sent into the world. A missionary, sent by the Father to extend the love of God to all nations. A great lesson of love that is modelled by missionaries all over the world. They also are sent to model and proclaim the love of God in Christ Jesus. They also incarnate in unfamiliar cultures.

Surrounded!

From my friend Marcus's newsletter:Give up! Well that's how we could have felt when our new Muslim neighbours moved in. We now have Muslim neighbours on our left, right, across the road and over the back fence in all directions. A few years go I probably would have said "No thanks" I'd rather people who have tea, biccies and a Chelsea bun for morning tea.

Church Planter Moves In

Well, we finally found a house. Our new missionary team member has just moved in, its a nice place and it even has a garden! If you have ever moved into a new apartment or house then you will now that the little things get you excited. Lots of storage, a rose bush, an upside down light switch, hooking up the washing machine and a neighbours cat spying you out.
